Light and fruity redwines

Red wines can be classified into several large families, distinguished by the style of wine: light and fruity red wines, full-body and fruity reds, and then complex reds that can be aged a few years, with the help of high tannins. The Wine Tasting Paris
At this time of summer heat, light and fruity red wines are mostly welcome as most thirst-quenching.

These are wines of immediate pleasure, with little complexity, often young. They are characterized by expressive aromas of red fruits and flowers. Low tannins and high acidity make them refreshing wines.
These wines are made from several grapes as Gamay, Pinot Noir, Tempranillo, Cabernet franc. In France, one can find them in the Loire valley: Bourgueil, Saumur-Champigny and Sancerre villages, or in the Beaujolais region: Morgon, Brouilly, Juliénas villages for instance, and then in Burgundy. All these French vineyards are located in the northern part of France.
These lights and fruity red wines are consistent with simple cookings, especially with summer dishes. They adapt well to a whole lunch or dinner as a single wine.
They match very well with cold meats, pates, terrines, pizzas, salads and cheese like the goat cheese. Enjoy and serve them a little chilled: ideally between 12 and 14 degrees, and drink them young within their first 3 years!
